Our visit to Rumah Jugah of “Sut” reveal the uncertainty await the future of the Iban natives occupying along the riverine of Sut river upper kapit Sarawak. for one the customary land once been occupied ,created and acquired is now no more belong to the local native. The present Barisan nasional government had parcels and leased those areas and generously given them to a giant timber companies for reforestation plantation. One representative ” Deo” was event called to police station for cutting his engkabang tree grown at the brink of his paddy field alleged of stealing company’s timber. What will be the future …….
